“As an artist I’m doing research on my own fears, insecurities and desires. I do this to get better grip on my life. Often I am comparing myself to other people, both people I know and strangers, who I get to know in my environment. Because I often create false truths about these people, and hold them against myself. Based on that, I ask myself questions. In my projects selfexpression is an inseperable understanding. Via theoretical and visual research I try to immerse the viewer in my experience of the truth. This could lead to recognition for the viewer.”
